Road Trip

And we're driving, driving. What song is this? I change it because it turns into static. All that's on is country. Out my window is hills of nothing yet everything, country makes sense. I'm tired of hearing the word tractor, I change the channel again, static, static, static. The sunset ahead of me is fading into a dark green-blue. We almost hit a bunny, mom hates driving on dark roads. Silence. Too many clouds to see any stars. Ollie plays his iPad. That stupid cheerleader song plays in my head. I'm tired of eating cherries. Thoughts are rushing through my head faster than I can hold onto them. I lay my head on the door, thoughts come to me. I can think for two hours, about nothing and everything. I can think deep. I love road trips.
